Billing & Collections Specialist

Title: Billing/Collections Specialist

Reports to: Billing Manager / VP of Finance

Function summary:

This role will be responsible for assisting in generating biweekly billing in a timely manner and in follow up
with insurance providers to resolve collection issues. This position interacts closely both with the Billing
and Finance team and, as needed, other members of the organization.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Prepare biweekly billing to various Insurance Providers
  • Prepare and maintain various reports
  • Interact with insurance clients to resolve outstanding collection issues
  • Assist in Maintaining an accurate aging report
  • Identify and execute the necessary process adjustments

Technical Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of previous experience in billing/collection experience required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Excellent analytical skills required.
  • Knowledge of insurance trends and collection processes.
  • Experience in working with Central Reach or any ABA/Medical Billing Software a plus
