Sr HR Generalist

Title: Sr HR Generalist

Reports to:    HR Director


Function summary:

The Sr HR Generalist acts as a strategic and tactical support focusing on the implementation of strategic and operational programs for human resources and the overall organization.  The Sr HR Generalist will partner with leadership to determine needs for the organization ensuring alignment with corporate direction, strategic initiatives and human resources best practices.


Principal Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the development and administration of programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company.
  • Consults, advises and supports transformation and change initiatives, people decisions and actions, retention and engagement, employee communication and HR programs and services. 
  • Assists with the development of Human Resources policies for the company with regard to employee relations; partners with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs, and laws.
  • Participates in the conduct of investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth; advises managers and supervisors about the steps in the progressive discipline process; counsels managers on employment issues.
  • Manages day-to-day benefit administration; supports employees with claim assistance;  administers annual enrollment.
  • Administers 401k plan in conjunction with the Controller.
  • Administers leaves of absence, worker’s compensation claims, OSHA reporting.
  • Manages recruitment process for all corporate AHSS staff.
  • Provides payroll processing support; partners with accounting and payroll to maintain the payroll database.
  • Manages regular HR metrics/reporting, DOL reporting, and ad hoc reporting.
  • Assists the staffing/client services team in a variety of projects as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Technical Knowledge, Experience, and Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related area preferred
  • Minimum of 5-7 years experience in  Human Resources
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google, HRIS, and ATS Systems
  • Demonstrated ability to protect highly discreet and confidential information
  • Ability to work independently and respond flexibly to changing needs and priorities
  • Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize work assignments
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
